Glenn Bowman, Owner

Glenn purchased Vermont Soapstone in 1987. He is a history buff who is proud to be part of the tradition of soapstone manufacturing that began here in the 1850s. His wealth of knowledge about the soapstone industry and New England history in general is remarkable. Glenn handles procurement of the best quality stone from Brazil, and works with directly with customers in the showroom and slab room. He oversees administration and manufacturing.

When he’s not helping customers with their soapstone projects, Glenn’s an avid Vermont skier in the winter months and enjoys spending weekends at his camp in Maine spring through fall.
